12 hours of temporary funa brand new DIY pop-up nightclub, is coming to Dublin this weekend and it couldn’t be easier for you to get your hands on tickets.

Last year, Absolut launched the Absolut Clubbing Advice – calling on promoters and creators to apply for funding to create a bespoke clubbing event, in a move in support of what they hoped will revive the disco ball of the Irish clubbing scene.

Promoter Temporary Pleasure has been chosen by the Absolut Clubbing Council to win €10,000, enabling them to bring a brand new pop-up clubbing experience to life in Dublin this summer – and it’s finally happening this weekend!

The first ephemeral club of the promoter, 12 hours of temporary funis coming to Complex in Dublin 7 this Saturday 13th August for just one night, in what is sure to be a new and unique experience for clubgoers.

This week, the venue hosted a series of workshops with discussions on club culture, architecture and the future of DIY spaces. On Saturday, the venue will transform into an immersive electronic arts hub, featuring local DJ sets, artists and performers.

If you’re unfamiliar with Temporary Pleasure, it’s a collective of architects and club builders, tasked with creating DIY nightclubs that can be designed, built and brought to life in just five days. After the event, the location will quickly disappear, as if it never happened.

The event is supported by the Absolut Clubbing Council, an assembly of key club culture figures including Irish DJ Krystal Klear, club culture activist Andrea Horan and event promoters Souletiquette.
