The Stillwater Police Department reports that an officer was injured while responding to a Stillwater nightclub early Thursday morning.

According to the SPD, officers were sent to L’Union because an individual refused to leave at closing time. The SPD has not released the identity of the injured officer.

Claire Hosterman and Caymon Severs were arrested and, according to the SPD, face charges of assaulting a police officer among obstruction, resisting arrest and public intoxication.

They have not been formally arraigned in Payne County District Court.

SPD uploaded a video with multiple camera angles. In the first, a witness tells an officer that someone from the nightclub staff pushed a girl as the staff told people to leave. The officer hears screams and turns to other officers struggling with a young man and a young woman. As an officer takes the man to the ground, his knee crashes hard on the pavement.

After both of them are on the ground, the woman is shown struggling but the man is off camera.

Later, an electronic device can be heard being deployed by one of the off-camera officers as the woman is handcuffed. Once he’s handcuffed, the man can be heard saying, “Excuse me, I just got tasered for no reason.”

“On Thursday, September 22, 2022, at approximately 2:00 a.m., the Stillwater Police Department (SPD) responded to a call for duty from an employee at The Union bar at 412 S. Washington Street. The call referred to a disturbance, described to dispatchers as an individual who refused to leave the facility when it closed, was forced out, started knocking on doors and wanting to fight with staff.” …

SPD Case #2022-24084

In the body camera worn by the officer who was interrogating a woman later identified as Hosterman, Severs and Hosterman are both standing in the street when told to move on. They ask why the police interrogate people. Severs starts pointing, and as his hand moves in front of the officer, the officer grabs Severs’ arm and Hosterman tries to get between them before they all end up on the floor.

“While detaining the two uncooperative suspects, one of the officers was seriously injured and became incapacitated,” the SPD statement said. “In the body camera footage, Severs and Hosterman were repeatedly told to comply, place their hands behind their backs and both failed to obey numerous commands from officers. After a brief struggle, one of the officers deployed his electronically controlled device (Taser) to Severs’ back to gain compliance and arrest him.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) — A Cincinnati police detective has been returned to active duty after being suspended in early September for uttering a racial slur while working on an off-duty detail at a nightclub.

FOP President Dan Hils confirmed the reinstatement of CPD Det. Joehonny Reese Tuesday night.

Reese, who is black, was working off-duty at Longworth Hall’s Energy nightclub on September 2 when bar security dragged out a drunk, underage white teenager, previously described by Hils.

The teenager physically threatened bar security staff as well as Reese and another off-duty officer, according to Hils.

Officers reportedly asked the teen to leave, but they stayed, continued to threaten officers and repeatedly called them “fake n-words,” Hils said.

Bodycam allegedly shows the teenager’s attempt to assault the officers, prompting the officers to taser and arrest the teenager.

During the encounter, Reese allegedly used the n-word telling the teenager that he, Reese, would not be an n-word, according to Hils.

Reese was suspended a week after the incident.

In its conclusion, the CPD Internal Investigations Section wrote that Constable Reese never used the racial slur “as an expression of prejudice or to degrade the character or race of the teenager”.

Acting Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge noted that it is standard practice in the department to temporarily suspend police powers pending an investigation into the use of a racial slur. be completed, whatever the circumstances.

City Manager Sheryl Long expressed support for the temporary suspension, which she said is “expressly defined in the collective agreement between the FOP and the city.”

Long continued, “Each case must be given the same thorough investigation and critical review to avoid undermining the legitimacy of the process.”

Hils spoke out against the suspension last week.

He issued a statement on Tuesday evening which read in part: ‘I appreciate the City Manager’s insistence that the police department provide a resolution quickly. Detective Reese received a verbal counseling notice for foul language. Even this minor documentation was unwarranted.

Last month, members of the Cincinnati City Council proposed a “zero tolerance policy” for any police officer who used a racial slur, regardless of the circumstances. The policy has not yet been adopted or implemented.

Previous cases of CPD employees using racial slurs have resulted in more severe penalties.

Former CPD officer Rose Valentino was suspended and later fired after she used the slur during an incident with a teenager outside a Western Hills high school.

CPD officer Kelly Drach served a 56-hour suspension from May 20-28 after admitting to using a racial slur on duty twice in late 2021 after speaking to fraudulent telemarketers on the phone.

Both had previously pleaded not guilty to working as unlicensed managers providing security at Monty’s Bar in Dudley on November 12, 2021.

Emma Spittle of Sedgley – one of the managers of Monty’s Bar – was fined £228, to pay costs of £416 and a victim fine surcharge of £34. Ms. Spittle was responsible for the deployment of security at the site and was therefore required by law to hold a Security Industry Authority (SIA) license.

Another Monty’s Bar manager, Jason Cooper of Dudley, was also fined £290 and ordered to pay court costs of £416 and a victim fine surcharge of £34. Mr. Cooper was responsible for checking with security personnel. Despite this responsibility, he himself was not an SIA licensee.

Ms Spittle and Mr Cooper had previously pleaded not guilty in court as they claim they were led to believe they were vetted by Dean McKibben, one of the site workers.

McKibben himself pleaded guilty to fraud and unlawful labor at Monty’s Bar and cafe on Wednesday June 22, 2022 at Dudley Magistrates’ Court.

The court gave Mr McKibben an 18-month community order that includes 240 hours of unpaid work. If McKibben does not comply with this sentence, he will be imprisoned. He had to pay £462 in court costs and a victim fine surcharge of £95 within 28 days.

The case followed a routine inspection of the site by SIA investigators and West Midlands Police licensing officers on November 12, 2021. SIA investigators identified that security at the site was employed in internal.

The SIA investigator realized that Dean McKibben was working that night but was not listed on the time sheet. He carried an SIA license with the expiration date crossed out. In fact, it had expired on January 22, 2021. McKibben had shown the managers of Monty’s Bar a fake SIA letter stating that he was laid off until January 21, 2022.

Mr. McKibben had also worked on the site on 10 occasions between October 8 and November 6, 2021. Each time, notes in the registration register incorrectly indicated that he was waiting for a new SIA license.

On the same night, another man was working as a security guard but was not carrying an SIA license. He left the scene, apparently to get his license back, and did not return. Persistent steps by the SIA investigator revealed that a license number had been entered in the attendance book under the man’s name, but the license belonged to another person who lived 120 miles away .

SIA investigators found that the man had never held an SIA license. He had also previously worked on the site 10 times. CCTV footage confirmed that the image on the corresponding license card did not match the man seen by SIA investigators. He failed to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on June 22, 2022 and there is now a warrant for his arrest.

Nicola Bolton, one of the SIA’s criminal investigations officers, said:

Ms Spittle and Mr Cooper have now pleaded guilty to working as unlicensed managers. Mr. McKibben pleaded guilty to fraud and illegal employment without a valid SIA license. Mr. McKibben was served with a major court order and ordered to pay court costs and a victim surcharge. They all now have criminal records.

A key factor in the case is that Mr. McKibben had previously held a license. He was aware of the regulatory regime, the SIA, the licensing training, the various vetting procedures, and the general need for a license, but chose to circumvent it. Mr. McKibben lied to SIA investigators and his workplace to distract them from the truth. He then went on to work 10 times. The public is the victim in this affair. The objective of the permit system is to ensure the safety of people and to protect them during night outings. The defendants’ actions put their clients at risk.

Notes to Editors:

  • By law, security guards working under contract must hold and display a valid SIA license

One person is dead and two others are injured after a shooting at a nightclub in Waterbury early Saturday morning.

“You have to be aware of your surroundings wherever you go. It’s getting worse and worse as the days go by here in Waterbury,” said Daniel Gandy of Waterbury.

Officers were called to Lit Ultra Lounge on West Main Street shortly before 2am after receiving a gunshot complaint.

When police arrived they said they found a man inside the bar with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Saint Mary’s Hospital where he later died of his injuries. His identity has not been revealed.

“Mermaids, it was getting crazy. Lots of mermaids. I came home and it was all bad,” said Ryan Williams of Waterbury.

A 35-year-old man from New Britain and a 32-year-old woman from Bridgeport, who each suffered gunshot wounds in the incident, went to Saint Mary’s Hospital before officers arrived at the scene, police said. Their injuries are considered not to be life-threatening.

“This stuff happens,” Williams noted.

“I don’t like the violence that’s going on here in Waterbury. It’s ridiculous. We need help here,” Gandy continued.

Saturday’s shooting marks the fourth fatal shooting in Waterbury in just under a month.

The latest happened just before 1 a.m. on August 15 at Bertie’s West Indian Restaurant. Prior to that, there were two fatal shootings on August 13 – one at the Salsa Tropical Social Club and the other at Mikey’s Jamaican Restaurant.

“I don’t know what to say anymore. Waterbury is not like it used to be. You can walk the streets without having to fear for your life,” Gandy added.

Waterbury Police Department major crime detectives are actively investigating the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (203) 574-6941 or CrimeStoppers at (203) 755-1234.

The parents of 21 youngsters who died in a nightclub in June have been told they had suffocated.

However, it is unclear from the recently released report what caused the teens’ deaths.

“The report came out but I’m not happy with it,” said Xolile Malangeni, whose 17-year-old daughter Esinako was among the victims.

Xolile and others complained that the results were given to them verbally by the authorities.

A spokesman for the Eastern Cape provincial health department declined to comment on the results of the survey and told reporters the survey would not be published.

Twenty-one youngsters – the youngest aged 13 – died while partying at the Enyobeni Tavern in Scenery Park, a township outside the coastal city of East London in the province of Eastern Cape.

More than 1,000 mourners attended the funerals of 19 of the nightclub’s 21 victims. Photo: Getty.

Multiple causes of death for teenagers have been reported in recent weeks, including poisoning from what they may have eaten or drunk.

Local television eNCA reported on Thursday that the asphyxiation was caused by overcrowding.

In June, a source familiar with the investigation told Reuters the youths may have died of poisoning following a gas leak.

More than 1,000 mourners attended the funeral of the victims two weeks after the tragedy and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered a eulogy.

In South Africa, the legal drinking age is 18, the owner of the bar has been arrested and charged with supplying alcohol to minors.

Two women say they are grateful to be alive after being robbed at gunpoint as they left a popular nightclub. Atlanta police confirm they are investigating the incident.

“I just don’t feel safe. I just don’t know what to trust after this,” one of the women told FOX 5.

The women did not wish to be identified because the two masked men who robbed them were not apprehended.

“Not only did they steal our material possessions. But my life erupted before my eyes,” La Femme said.

Atlanta police confirm they are investigating the incident which happened around 5 a.m. Tuesday at the ‘Chic’ Restaurant bar and lounge – a popular after-hours spot.

“They put a gun to my friend’s waist and they pushed her into the car and took her stuff. The other guy came around the side of the car and he put the gun on me and he took my merchandise,” The Woman described.

A woman who says she and a friend were robbed in gunpoint interviews with FOX 5 anonymously.

The women say they asked security to walk them to their cars and say the guards left when the masked men approached.

“I looked around because I knew my arm was right on safety [guard’s] arms. So when I looked around I saw security ducking and running,” The Woman said.

Thousands of dollars in cash, watches, car and house keys are all missing. The women say they knocked on the door of the club to ask for help, but it was locked.

“Security is supposed to be there to help you. Once I was assaulted, I had to tell security to call 911. When were you going to call the police?” said the Woman.

Two women say this is where they were robbed at gunpoint after a night out.

FOX 5 cameras know the club and area well. The place is the same where rapper King Von was shot and killed.

There was also a double shooting incident at the club in June 2021 and another shooting as recent as March this year.

The women traced their cracked phones to the side of I-20, but say their sense of security is what was really shattered.

“My life flashed before my eyes. I saw myself being shot. Being shot twice. I’ve never had a gun drawn at me and put this close to me,” The Woman said.

According to the police, the women were not injured.

Investigators hope the surveillance cameras will help them figure out who is behind it all.

Fans react to a video of Trey Songz where it looks like the singer is having an intimate conversation with a young woman in a club. While many claim the girl is lucky to have met fame, others warn her to run the other way.

Trey was recently cleared of a sexual assault allegation after a witness claimed he was bribed to portray the R&B singer as the “next R.Kelly”.

However, many fans still believe the allegations.

A viral video of the singer has surfaced on TikTok where he was seen smiling and talking to a woman at the club.

The sequence cuts and a fan reacts by saying:

“One thing about me, we’re not going to end up like the R. Kelly generation. The girls said several times, what is he doing!

Many agreed with the reaction video where one fan said:

“Once I heard Keke speak, it was over for him.”

Many fans will continue to side with the victims claiming they were sexually assaulted by the singer.

Mr. Steal Your Girl is no rookie to be accused of sexual assault.

Back in April Trigga Trey aka Trey Songz received a letter requesting a $5 million settlement offer.

A formal notice including a video of the attack was sent to the interpreter of “Can’t Help But Wait”.

New ZOOM nightclub in Frankfurt, Germany tapped Cameo to add spotlight extravaganza to its revamped look.

Lighting designer, Jojo Tillmann, came up with a Cameo solution for the individual areas of the club, creating a more artistic installation than is typical for this type of environment.

ZOOM’s current setup titled “Space Encompassing Light Art Installation (rGB zOOM), using Cameo’s ZENIT W300, AZOR B1, MOVO BEAM Z100 and PixBar 600 Pro projectors”.

41 ZENIT W300 spotlights are used to add a wide brush, used as area lights and strobes, while the 12 AZOR B1 beam moving heads emphasize the geometry of the room at the central and round lighting device in the middle of the room.

71 MOVO BEAM Z100 beams and eight PixBar 600 Pro ED bars are used to illuminate “the triangle”, simulating the effect of a single ceiling fixture.

The club’s lounge and dining areas house 127 Cameo H1 FC household lamps adding flexible and colorful lighting to the space.

Tillmann said, “In recent years, Cameo has made a big leap from consumer products to professional fixtures. I see this especially with the younger generation of lighting designers, who use Cameo with conviction. At the same time, the price/performance ratio still plays a big role in the choice, as well as its increasing availability from major dry boat rental companies.
