YouTuber designs stunning home shirts for all 20 clubs

Premier League fans probably think they could do a better job of designing their club’s kits than the manufacturers themselves.

With fashion in the beautiful game becoming more popular every year, fans find themselves analyzing annual kit releases in greater detail than ever before.

We’re also not above the freaks as we’ll be first in line to rank, rate and compare the designs that big companies like Nike, Adidas and Puma release each season.

Creation of Premier League jerseys

And truth be told, the past few years have seen some truly gorgeous releases with the chunky football jersey wigs stripping boring model strings and pulling on wackier end products.

However, one fight that kitmakers always struggle to win is the admittedly difficult task of trying to reinvent a club’s house colors year after year after year.

Sure, you can push the boat out with the away, third and even fourth designs, but you can only deviate from the tradition and history of a club when it comes to the home shirt.

And when there’s the pressure to come up with something inventive and unique every 12 months, it’s inevitable that some home kits will leave supporters shrugging their shoulders.

However, there could be new hope for the creative sphere of Premier League home shirts and it comes in the unexpected form of a YouTuber, a graphic designer and days of hard work.

YouTuber designs Premier League kits

None other than ‘Thogden’, one of football’s biggest content creators, has dabbled in creating a home kit for the 20 clubs that will travel to the English top flight next season.

We’ll be the first to admit we were skeptical of the results as there are plenty of examples on social media of fans crafting some truly sinister attempts at kit design.

But we have to tip our hats to Thogden because while we’re not weak on the 20 concept designs, we’ll happily admit that the majority of them are absolute stoppers.

From a stunning Leeds United design to a Manchester United exit so outrageous it works, the Bolton Wanderers fan might have opened the doors to a plethora of great football shirts.

So strap in, switch your expectations from minimal design changes to full-fledged creative tsunamis by checking out Thogden’s home shirt designs for every Premier League club:

And here are our favorites…

Some models of belts

Let’s be honest here, he broke it.

They’re not all perfect, it has to be said, but let’s not present as if these Everton, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers designs weren’t good enough to look truly professional.

While we like to imagine fans designing their own club kits would work great, the simple fact is that most concept shirts take it too far off-road or end up looking cheap.

However, in the case of Thogden’s efforts to shake up the Premier League fashion landscape, it has to be said that he enjoyed more hits than misses – and his dad knew it too.

Sadly, it will take more than a viral YouTube video to get these belt designs into club stores, but let’s just say we wouldn’t be mad if Adidas, Puma and Nike took inspiration from his kits.
